Hi. This is SGO.
Today, I would like to talk about why so many places are looking for SGO's oilless bearings, and how they differ from other bearings in terms of technology. It is better if you do it with the attached technical video.
Oilless bearings function to operate the machine smoothly without the need for additional lubricants. Therefore, it is used in dam facilities, nuclear power plants, and food manufacturing facilities, where lubricant injection is impossible due to difficult access by humans. Not only that, but it is also used for heavy equipment that is difficult to refuel in the middle. This is because oilless bearings retain their functions until almost after they are used to manufacture the equipment, until the equipment is broken.
An oilless bearing that contains a solid lubricant in the bearing and flows out little by little due to frictional heat during use. 'Solid lubricant dropout or breakage' can be the most fatal in machinery using oilless bearings. It can cause direct damage to the equipment you are using right now, and as mentioned above, it is often used in places that are difficult for people to access or heavy equipment that is difficult to replace.
Ordinary oilless bearings are attached with adhesives by directly inserting solid lubricants by human hands. SGO did not stop at using these general methods, but continued to study 'how to prevent damage to solid lubricants in bearings'. Of course, SGO carried out all the steps to make oilless bearings in-house, from design to casting, casting, extrusion, and machining, so that research was possible.
SGO's solid lubricants are heat treated above the curing temperature of thermal expansion curable resins so that oilless bearings contain more lubricant, ensuring superior porosity and lubricating oil impregnation than general solid lubricants, while providing high surface pressure through high compressive strength. It shows stable lubrication performance even in the environment.
SGO solid lubricant made through the unique composition ratio of carbon and thermosetting resin powder expands during heat treatment and is more firmly attached to the inside of the drill hole of the copper alloy base material. SGO's oilless bearings have a higher durability than general oilless bearings. This technology has been recognized and patented not only in Korea but also abroad.
