Hello! This is SGO .
Korea National Ppuri Industry Center(https://www.kpic.re.kr) in the Ppuri(*roots) Industry White Paper (White paper) Did you know that there is a freely distributed?
Today's post introduces a few things about casting technology based on the distributed white paper.
For more information, please refer to the Korea National Ppuri Industry Center.
Ppuri(root) industry
The Ppuri industry is an industry that utilizes 'manufacturing process technology' such as casting, mold, plastic processing, welding, surface treatment, and heat treatment to conduct business.
In Korea, it is named in the sense that it is invisible like the root of a tree, but is embedded in the final product and forms the basis of manufacturing competitiveness.
The industry is becoming more and more advanced, but the root industry is necessary in any case.
This is because it is an essential technology for new industries such as electric vehicles, intelligent robots, drones, and semiconductors that we will use in the future.
casting
Casting is a technology to make a product of a desired shape through the process of charging a metal material into a furnace to make it liquid, then pouring it into a mold-like mold and solidifying it.
Mold: An internal space in which molten metal is poured and solidified into a hollow mold according to the shape of the object to be made.
Casting: A product made by melting molten iron or other materials, pouring it into a mold, and then hardening it.
Ingot: A lump of metal or alloy made into a shape that requires secondary processing such as rolling or extrusion.
Melting: The operation of melting a solid raw material into a liquid, adjusting the ingredients to make a predetermined material, or raising the temperature to a temperature that can be injected into a mold
Injection: refers to the process of pouring molten metal into a mold
Molten metal: molten metal
Main casting technology
Sand casting: A casting method that produces castings by pouring molten metal into a sand mold.
Mold Casting: A casting method that produces castings by pouring molten metal into a metal mold.
Die Casting Casting: A casting method that produces castings by pressurizing and injecting molten metal into a precision mold at high speed.
Low-rock casting: A casting method in which a low pressure is applied to the surface of the molten metal to push up the molten metal in the opposite direction to gravity and pour it into the mold installed on the top.
Gravity Casting: A casting method in which the molten metal is filled by gravity.
Centrifugal Casting: A casting method using centrifugal force acting on molten metal.
Continuous casting: A casting method in which a metal slab in a molten (reactive solid) state is continuously taken out of a mold.
Precision Casting: A casting method that produces castings by melting a model made of a soluble material.
